I am currently suffering from writer’s block. For me, having writer’s block means that everything else grinds to a halt. Writing is not just a form of expression for me, it’s how I stay sane. Writing helps me to sort out my thoughts and clear my mind. When my thoughts get too jumbled, I become incapable of being productive. Since, I am currently out of commission I thought I would share some of the websites I think have some helpful techniques for addressing writer’s block. Keep reading “The Dreaded Writer’s Block”
I’m a big believer in having indoor plants. I think that a home should have as many indoor plants as you can handle. Pictured here is the first indoor I got for myself, a peace lily I named Liliana. Yes, I name my plants and I don’t care that a peace lily named Liliana is kind of redundant. I only have 4 plants currently but I hope to have quite a few in the future. I’m always fascinated by pictures of homes that have so many plants that they look like indoor jungles. I’m not sure that I could keep up with all of the watering though. I also afraid of spiders hiding in them. I’m not just some random plant lover though. There are reasons that I believe that you should keep plants around. I have been thinking about forgiveness a lot since I mentioned it in my last post. Forgiveness has always been something I struggled with and have been working on. Over time, I’ve noticed many lies told about forgiveness that are part of the reason I have difficulty with it. I thought I would address them in case anyone is in the same spot. Keep reading “3 Lies Told About Forgiveness”
Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving to those of you in the U.S. and celebrate. I took an unexpected break during the holiday week. I just had too many other things going on. But we now return to our regularly scheduled programming.
I wanted to expand on my last post about My Journaling Journey and talk about one of the most healing journal entries I’ve done so far, Dear Me Letters.
My ultimate goal is to teach people to use journaling for healing. I call myself a journaling for healing coach as a way to speak it into existence. I still have a lot to learn about how take what I know and what works for me and expand it so that it can be useful for a broader audience. But there is a reason I am so passionate about journaling and I thought I would share it today. Keep reading “My Journaling Journey”
Part of my mission with this blog is to create a community of creative night people who are dedicated to creating lives that allow for flourishing at night and changing the way society operates. So I thought I would do a fun and slightly snarky post about some of the struggles night people deal with. Keep reading “10 Struggles Only Night People Understand”
Since I have been trying to be more productive, more organized, and more intentional with the things that I do, I’ve been focusing on planning quite a bit. I’ve worked out most of my planner but still have a few things that I am struggling with. The weekly review is one of the things I’m struggling with. Keep reading “Weekly Review”
As promised in my last post I going to talk about my daily pages today. The monthly and weekly spread were pretty easy for me to come up with. I have always had monthly and weekly spreads in every planner I’ve ever had. I knew what worked, what didn’t work, and what else I was looking for. I have never had daily pages before. I have never thought that they would be necessary because I don’t have tons of appointments or huge to-do lists. When I discovered project-based planning, it became quite obvious that daily pages could work for me. Actually, if I want to achieve my goals, organizing my days better is a requirement.
Since I haven’t had any luck with the planners I’ve seen, I’ve been working on making my own. I need one that is project-based, works with my right brain as well as my left brain, is well organized, and isn’t just about planning. I need a little bit of wellness in my planner too. I thought I would show you what I have got so far and where I’m still trying to figure it out. Since it is the beginning of the month I thought it was a good time to show you what I’ve got. By the way, forgive the bad lighting. It’s been dark and rainy here for a few days and it doesn’t look like the lighting is going to get better anytime soon.
Wow! Life has gotten ahead of me lately. I constantly feel like I’m doing too much. I’m enjoying having goals to work towards though. There was a time in my life where I wasn’t working towards anything. I’ve been wanting to write about some easy ways to add coconut oil to your daily life and was planning to post this on Thursday but I dropped the ball.
