Plan With Me Part 2

As promised in my last post I going to talk about my daily pages today. The monthly and weekly spread were pretty easy for me to come up with. I have always had monthly and weekly spreads in every planner I’ve ever had. I knew what worked, what didn’t work, and what else I was looking for. I have never had daily pages before. I have never thought that they would be necessary because I don’t have tons of appointments or huge to-do lists. When I discovered project-based planning, it became quite obvious that daily pages could work for me. Actually, if I want to achieve my goals, organizing my days better is a requirement.

I knew I needed a visual time tracker, a water tracker, and that I was going to keep setting a top 3 everyday. So I set that up in a way that I like but it leaves a big space of nothing that I don’t know what to do with. I have used it to write down notes or anything outside of my top 3 that I want to get done but since I focus on my top 3 and not much else, most days it remains empty. There is a much more effective way to use that space but I don’t know what it is yet. Maybe there is a way to break down my top 3 and track my progress each day. I don’t know. I’m a bit annoyed that I keep wasting the space everyday but what else can I do at this point? The goal is to organize my day to increase productivity and help me achieve my goals so I’m trying to keep that in mind as I try to come up with something but the concept is very new to me.

Of course, since there are seven days in a week, that means that there is an empty space. I am working on figuring out how to turn that space into an effective way to do a weekly review.IMG_20151102_170518865_HDR
I do a mind sweep in a separate notebook so I don’t have to worry about incorporating that. So, I started by listing my accomplishments for the week and what was unfinished. It doesn’t take up much space since I focus on my top 3 everyday. There seems like there should be more to assessing your week as this hasn’t felt effective. Maybe I need to come up with questions to answer every week. Weekly reviews are something I’m looking into and will be writing about as soon as I have something.
