As promised in my last post I going to talk about my daily pages today. The monthly and weekly spread were pretty easy for me to come up with. I have always had monthly and weekly spreads in every planner I’ve ever had. I knew what worked, what didn’t work, and what else I was looking for. I have never had daily pages before. I have never thought that they would be necessary because I don’t have tons of appointments or huge to-do lists. When I discovered project-based planning, it became quite obvious that daily pages could work for me. Actually, if I want to achieve my goals, organizing my days better is a requirement.
Since I haven’t had any luck with the planners I’ve seen, I’ve been working on making my own. I need one that is project-based, works with my right brain as well as my left brain, is well organized, and isn’t just about planning. I need a little bit of wellness in my planner too. I thought I would show you what I have got so far and where I’m still trying to figure it out. Since it is the beginning of the month I thought it was a good time to show you what I’ve got. By the way, forgive the bad lighting. It’s been dark and rainy here for a few days and it doesn’t look like the lighting is going to get better anytime soon.
I have found visual time tracking to be incredibly invaluable in improving my productivity. Visual time tracking can give you an at-a-glance record of how you spent your day.
